Justin L Ward - Attorney

Justin L. Ward is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Law (USC Law). While at USC Law, Justin was a participant in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and was the recipient of the prestigious Mason C. Brown Award for Community Service and Aptitude in Trial Work.

After passing the California State Bar Exam, Justin began his legal career at the staff counsel office for Infinity Insurance. While at Infinity, Justin represent clients in personal injury actions, both as defendants and as cross-complainants. He also represented the insurance company in uninsured motorist cases and other litigation involving disputes with insureds. Justin tried multiple jury trials and bench trials to verdict, as well as binding arbitrations and small claims appeals. Justin has also participated in dozens of mediations, mandatory settlement conferences, and non-binding arbitrations. Additionally, he has taken and defended over 100 depositions. Further, he has prepared and argued various limited and unlimited jurisdiction noticed and ex-parte motions, including motions to set aside, motions to compel, and motions to continue.

After Infinity, Justin went to the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney, where he was a criminal prosecutor. His duties there included jury trials, bench trials, handling the court calendar and numerous restitution hearings. He also evaluated cases for settlement and negotiated dispositions on hundreds of cases.

Justin then moved to Sacramento , California to work for the Sacramento County District Attorney. He handled preliminary hearings and trials for various types of cases, including robbery, drug sales, assault, driving under the influence, burglary, and failure to register as a sex offender.

In 2008, Justin opened the Ward Firm. The firm handles Criminal Matters, Personal Injury Matters, and General Civil Cases in both State and Federal Courts throughout the state of California.
